In 2022, he became a Certified Barbell Rehab Method Therapist- focusing on helping those with pain continue to exercise and train through their issues.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, two cats (the cutest cats in the world, objectively), running, reading, and generally hanging out.

I can’t say enough good things about Zenith. After over a year of lingering adductor pain that seemed to come out of nowhere, I finally found answers and treatment here. As a semi-professional runner, lingering pain isn’t something I can afford. It throws off my form and affects every part of my training, including lifting. So I went to a doctor who thought it was iliopsoas tightness and they sent me to a PT who thought it was an adductor strain and made it worse.

Then I came to Zenith and started working with Jesse. He took the time to understand the full story and offered a completely different perspective: this wasn’t a strain or tightness but actually a nerve issue. That insight alone was a game changer. He worked on the problem during our first session, gave me daily stretches, and even made simple lifestyle suggestions that I hadn’t considered (like actually using my standing desk throughout the day).

The progress was slow and steady. After the first follow-up, I still had some discomfort, but the plan felt like it was finally targeting the root cause. Jesse introduced strength training specific to the problem area, which I was initially nervous about. After my first lift, my muscles were sore in and around the adductor area, but the pain didn’t worsen. That was the turning point for me.

After just four sessions and a few months of consistent stretching and strengthening, I’m nearly 100% better and still improving. I’m back to running and lifting with more strength, confidence, and most importantly almost no pain.”

“If you’re dealing with a nagging issue like me or an injury then I would highly recommend Zenith. It’s an investment, but for me I saw it as a long-term investment in my body’s future, and I’m glad I did because it was absolutely worth it.

What Clients Are Saying About Our Rehab PT

From weekend warriors to elite athletes, our clients trust Zenith for expert care and real results. Here is what they had to say about their experience with our Rehab PT—tailored support that helped them move, train, and feel their best.

I’ve never worked with PTs who get runners so well

I had two running goals for 2023: complete a marathon in less than 4.5 hours and run more than 1300 miles in total. I failed both (the first one I actually failed twice :)). Disappointing on some level for sure. But when I step back and take a look at the impact of those two unmet goals I find something that makes me very happy: the journey led me to set personal records at 6 distances, including my first ever trail run event, and for total mileage in 2023. Also, the two destination marathons were amazing experiences beyond the race day fun! I couldn't have done it without the running focused PT expertise of Jesse and Jenn at Zenith! I’ve never worked with PTs that understand runners so well.

The best cross-training habits of my life

After two years with a recurring foot injury, I had very little hope before I started with Zenith and particularly Dr. Mariel Hammond. Her expertise was immediately obvious and her approach was thorough as we worked over the weeks to problem solve and return my entire body to running readiness. Best of all Mariel is one of the most fun and easy to work with people I can imagine. I'm back to running and have established the best stretching and cross-training habits of my life. My only regret is not starting sooner. Thank you Mariel!

I had a goal—Zenith helped me hit it

I came to work with Jesse by way of my running coach. I had a goal of running the Eugene Half-Marathon this year (2024) and started training back in September 2023. By November, I had injured my knee trying to push harder during the training. All of November was very painful. That is when I started seeing Jesse for physical therapy. Jesse and I worked on my mobility, strength and conditioning, running posture, breathing, and all kinds of warm up and exercise routine that had me running faster and longer within a month.
