What to Expect at Your First Massage Session
Before You Arrive
You’ll receive intake forms, a body pain chart, and consent documents to complete online before your appointment. This helps your Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) understand your goals and medical history in advance — so we can focus on treatment, not paperwork.
Finding Us
We’re located at 160 South Park St. in Eugene. Give yourself a few extra minutes for parking — metered spaces are available nearby, or use the City Hall Surface Lot on Pearl Street.
When You Arrive
Come on in, have a seat in the waiting area, and feel free to use a percussion device while you wait. Your therapist will greet you promptly — we run on time 99% of the time.
During Your Session
Expect one-on-one, focused care using a combination of techniques like deep tissue, assisted stretching, and myoskeletal therapy. Pressure and approach are always customized to your needs.
Your Comfort Comes First
You’re in control. If anything feels uncomfortable — pressure, technique, or positioning — just say so. We’ll adjust immediately to ensure your session is effective and relaxing.
What should I wear to massage therapy?
Dress comfortably. You can undress to your comfort level, and you’ll remain properly draped throughout the session.
How often should I get a massage?
Most people benefit from massage every 3–4 weeks to stay ahead of tension, maintain mobility, and support recovery. That frequency can vary based on your stress levels, training load, or specific goals. Learn more about how regular massage supports performance and wellness.
Who is massage therapy ideal for at Zenith?
Our massage services are ideal for runners, cyclists, athletes, active adults, and anyone dealing with pain, tension, or movement restrictions.
What’s the difference between a 60-minute and 90-minute massage?
A 60-minute massage provides full-body coverage with focus on one or two key areas. A 90-minute session allows for deeper work, assisted stretching, and multiple focus areas.
Can I use my FSA or HSA for massage therapy?
Possibly — some FSA and HSA plans allow massage therapy if it’s prescribed for a specific medical condition. While we don’t bill insurance directly, we can provide a superbill for potential reimbursement. Please check with your provider to confirm what’s covered.
