Zenith Performance and Wellness was created and is operated by Jesse Klein, DPT, OCS, CSCS. He has experienced athletics, training, and rehabilitation from both sides of the injury and has vast experience working with people of all ages and athletic levels.

Jesse earned his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh; where he was a a 4-year letter earner, 2-year captain of the soccer team, a tutor, and was involved in multiple extracurricular committees and councils. He then earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from St. Catherine University; where he graduated with a 4.0 GPA. During his second year, he was one of four program Teaching Assistants and was selected by faculty to serve as the sole Program Tutor.

As a physical therapist, Jesse enjoys getting to know his clients beyond their primary complaint, and utilizing a combination of education, manual therapy, and exercises to help them recover. He enjoys working with people of all ages and abilities, but does especially enjoy working with those establishing or returning to a work out program, and those pursuing endurance sports. Jesse has extra training in the realms of wellness and can help with strategies to create a more well balanced life. In 2022, he became a Certified Barbell Rehab Method Therapist- focusing on helping those with pain continue to exercise and train through their issues.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, two cats (the cutest cats in the world, objectively), running, reading, and generally hanging out.

Jesse Burlingham brings presence, precision, and purpose to his work as a Licensed Massage Therapist at Zenith Performance and Wellness. He is one of only six certified Master Myoskeletal Therapists (MMT) in Oregon and among just 300 globally to hold this elite designation. His approach blends advanced manual therapy with a deep passion for helping people feel and move better—whether they're athletes, outdoor adventurers, or managing long-standing pain.

The MMT certification, developed by renowned educator Dr. Erik Dalton, requires over 210 hours of advanced training in structural alignment, biomechanics, and pain neuroscience. This methodology targets the root causes of dysfunction—not just the symptoms—by combining principles of osteopathy, physical therapy, and soft-tissue mobilization.

Jesse’s journey is grounded in service. A U.S. Army veteran and former law enforcement officer, he returned to massage therapy in 2018 with renewed purpose: to deliver results-driven, recovery-focused care that supports both physical performance and long-term resilience. At Zenith, he often collaborates with physical therapists and strength coaches to provide fully integrated care.

Clients come to Jesse for more than massage—they come for trusted partnership in their wellness journey. He customizes every session to support mobility, reduce pain, regulate the nervous system, and restore functional movement.

Outside the clinic, Jesse is deeply connected to Eugene’s cycling and outdoor communities. He finds renewal through time in nature, backpacking, long distance bicycling, motorcycling and the companionship of his dog, Journey.

North Star:
To create meaningful connection through healing touch—helping people move with less pain, more confidence, and deeper awareness. Rooted in service, nature, and community, Jesse brings presence and purpose to every session, honoring the human behind the body and the journey behind the pain.

Ropheka grew up being active outdoors and playing recreational sports but had never stepped foot in a gym. After being sidelined by several sport related injuries herself, she was inspired to gain a better understanding of how to properly train for the activities she loves, and be able to stay active and strong for a lifetime of adventure.

Ropheka earned her Associates of Applied Science Degree in Exercise & Movement Science at Lane Community College. She is a certified personal trainer and exercise therapist through ISSA (International Sports Sciences Association). Her passion is to equip others with the tools they need to thrive physically and create a healthy lifestyle for themselves.

Outside the gym, she loves to surf, hike, float the river, and have picnics on paddleboards. She also enjoys cooking and trying new recipes from different countries -especially Thai food!

This is the best and only place you need to go for quality physical therapy and personal training. They finally get to the root cause of issues and fix everything impacting your current injury. No longer do you have to just accept the limitations of injuries or work around them, but instead can find a real path towards recovery and get to feel healthy again. And they are great for helping up learn how hard to push yourself, and when, as you correct the smaller movements or muscle imbalances that you go to this place in the first place.

What Clients Are Saying About Our Rehab PT

From weekend warriors to elite athletes, our clients trust Zenith for expert care and real results. Here is what they had to say about their experience with our Rehab PT—tailored support that helped them move, train, and feel their best.

The best cross-training habits of my life

After two years with a recurring foot injury, I had very little hope before I started with Zenith and particularly Dr. Mariel Hammond. Her expertise was immediately obvious and her approach was thorough as we worked over the weeks to problem solve and return my entire body to running readiness. Best of all Mariel is one of the most fun and easy to work with people I can imagine. I'm back to running and have established the best stretching and cross-training habits of my life. My only regret is not starting sooner. Thank you Mariel!

I had a goal—Zenith helped me hit it

I came to work with Jesse by way of my running coach. I had a goal of running the Eugene Half-Marathon this year (2024) and started training back in September 2023. By November, I had injured my knee trying to push harder during the training. All of November was very painful. That is when I started seeing Jesse for physical therapy. Jesse and I worked on my mobility, strength and conditioning, running posture, breathing, and all kinds of warm up and exercise routine that had me running faster and longer within a month.

They gave me hope—and my mobility back

After a series of injuries and a slew of physical therapists and attempts, i wasn’t particularly optimistic as to my future health. I can say with complete certainty they gave me my mobility and a decent dosage of hope back. When I started i could barely stand my back was so seized, now I'm back to hiking and running. My insurance wasn’t particularly great, so i had to pay out of pocket; but they worked with me on that front as well. It took a lot of work, effort and attention to detail but I've recommended them to anyone who’ll listen and plan on attending their group classes when i have some more time. You can do this, and they can help. 10/5 stars, thanks Mike!
