About Low Back Pain
Low back pain is one of the most common musculoskeletal issues and responds well to physical therapy. Whether acute or recurring, a movement-first approach targets the root cause instead of only relieving symptoms.
Expected Recovery Window
Acute: 2–6 weeks. Chronic or recurring: 8–16 weeks. Most patients see relief within 2–3 sessions.
Common Symptoms
Aching or sharp pain in the lower back; stiffness and difficulty standing up straight after sitting; pain that radiates into the glutes or down one leg (sciatica pattern); pain that worsens with prolonged sitting, standing, or bending; morning stiffness that improves with movement; episodes of pain that come and go.
Common Causes
Poor sitting posture and prolonged sedentary time; weak core and hip stabilisers; sudden loading or awkward movement; disc irritation or degeneration; muscle strain from training errors; hip mobility restrictions that shift load onto the lumbar spine.
How We Treat Low Back Pain
We assess the whole movement chain — not just the lumbar spine. Most low back pain is driven by what's happening at the hips, pelvis, and thoracic spine. Treatment includes manual therapy to restore mobility, targeted core and hip strengthening, movement re-education, and a home exercise plan that fits your schedule. We help you understand your pain so you can manage it independently long-term.
