Three things you won't find together anywhere else in Eugene:

An MMT on staff.

Jesse Burlingham holds the Master Myoskeletal Therapist (MMT) credential from Erik Dalton's Freedom from Pain Institute — one of only six massage therapists in Oregon who've earned it, and among roughly 300 worldwide. MMT blends osteopathic, PT, and soft-tissue principles to address structural root causes, not just sore spots. If your pain keeps coming back no matter how often you get massaged, this is why. A team that talks to each other.

Jesse and Raymond work in the same building as five physical therapists and three strength coaches. When you're in a PT plan, your massage sessions are coordinated with your DPT. When the strength coach sees a mobility restriction, they can refer you directly. You're not managing three separate care relationships and hoping they don't contradict each other.

Grounded in Eugene's training culture.

We run Pre's Trail. We pace ultras. We show up at the Eugene Marathon, at the trails up on the Ridgeline, and at the Wednesday night group runs at Run Hub Northwest. We know what a 30-mile training week does to your calves, because we do those miles too.

Find the Right Session

Sports / Deep Tissue Massage

Deep, targeted work for people who train hard and recover smart.

Myoskeletal Alignment Technique

Bodywork that treats where your pain comes from, not where it lands.

Hot Stone Massage Therapy

When your body needs heat before it can let go.

Relaxation / Recovery Massage

Full-body lighter-pressure work built for the nervous system as much as the muscles.

Built for Eugene's Active Community+

Runners and trail runners

Managing training volume, recovering between long efforts, or working through the calf and hamstring tension that compounds across a training block. Pre-, post-, and mid-season work all looks different — and we build your session around where you are. Running injuries and recovery →

Cyclists

Hip flexor tightness, upper back tension from hours in the aero position, quad overload — the bike makes specific demands, and your massage should account for them. Often most useful when paired with a PT bike fit for a full mechanical-and-tissue approach.

Active Adults

Staying consistent at 45, 55, or 65 requires a different strategy than it did at 30. Tightness that used to resolve in a day now takes a week. We build sessions around maintaining the mobility that lets you keep training — not just chasing each flare-up.

Every-day movers

If you've been stretching the same spot for months and it keeps coming back, that's usually a structural conversation, not a flexibility one. That's where Myoskeletal Alignment and an integrated PT referral change the outcome.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

"The best massage therapist I have ever worked with. He is the perfect combination of compassionate and educated. He takes the time to listen to me before the session starts about problem areas, and ensures the massage is a combination of relaxation and therapeutic treatment."

Why Eugene's Athletes Come Here

This isn't a spa. It's a performance clinic with massage therapists on staff.

Most massage studios hand you a menu and ask what you want. At Zenith, we start by asking what you're training for, where you've been stuck, and what's actually driving the tightness that keeps coming back. Then we treat that — not just the symptom that finally got loud enough to bring you in.

Common Reasons People Come In

Massage at Zenith is frequently part of the plan for:

  • Muscle knots and trigger points - tight, irritable spots that refer pain and restrict movement. Massage and PT both treat this; the right starting point depends on severity and duration.

  • Hamstring strain recovery — massage supports tissue quality during the rehab phase

  • Low back pain — massage addresses the muscular component; PT addresses the movement pattern underneath

What to Expect at Your First Massage Session

Before You Arrive

You’ll receive intake forms, a body pain chart, and consent documents to complete online before your appointment. This helps your Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) understand your goals and medical history in advance — so we can focus on treatment, not paperwork.

Finding Us
We’re located at 160 South Park St. in Eugene. Give yourself a few extra minutes for parking. Metered spaces are available nearby, or use the City Hall Surface Lot on Pearl Street.

When You Arrive
Come on in, have a seat in the waiting area, and feel free to use a percussion device while you wait. Your therapist will greet you promptly — we run on time 99% of the time.

During Your Session
Expect one-on-one, focused care using a combination of techniques like deep tissue, assisted stretching, and myoskeletal therapy. Pressure and approach are always customized to your needs.

Your Comfort Comes First
You’re in control. If anything feels uncomfortable — pressure, technique, or positioning — just say so. We’ll adjust immediately to ensure your session is effective and relaxing.

Serving Eugene, Springfield & the Willamette Valley

Most of our massage clients come from Eugene and Springfield, but we regularly see clients from Junction City, Coburg, Veneta, Pleasant Hill, and even the coast — especially around big race weekends like the Eugene Marathon. If you trained on Pre's Trail, through Alton Baker Park, or anywhere on the Ridgeline Trail System, you're about 10 minutes from TrackTown USA and Zenith.
