About Tennis Elbow (Lateral Epicondylitis)
Tennis elbow causes outer elbow pain with gripping, lifting, and repetitive wrist use, often from training or work volume spikes. Physical therapy rebuilds tendon capacity with progressive loading and strength up the chain. The goal is pain-free grip for the gym, sport, and daily tasks.
Expected Recovery Window
Mild/reactive: 4–8 weeks. Persistent tendinopathy: 8–16 weeks.
Common Symptoms
Pain on the outside of the elbow; pain with gripping or lifting; pain with wrist extension; reduced grip strength; soreness after training or repetitive work.
Common Causes
Sudden increase in gripping volume; pulling and lifting volume in the gym; repetitive tool use; poor wrist and shoulder strength endurance; technique changes.
How We Treat Tennis Elbow (Lateral Epicondylitis)
We use progressive tendon loading with isometrics, heavy slow resistance, and eccentric work, and address shoulder and scapular strength to reduce repeated forearm overload.
